🧩 Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Structural BIM Engineer at Techture, you will be the backbone of our wood-modeling workflows. Your daily tasks will include:
- Advanced Modeling: Developing high-fidelity 3D BIM models for light-frame wood and mass timber (CLT/GLT) using Revit.
- US Standards: Preparing structural framing plans, sections, and elevations that strictly adhere to US building codes.
- Specialized Workflows: Utilizing timber-specific add-ins like AGACAD for panelized and modular construction.
- Coordination: Performing clash detection and resolving structural issues with MEP and Architectural teams using Navisworks.
- Documentation: Generating precise shop drawings and maintaining model quality throughout the project lifecycle.
🛠️ Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience: 2–5 years in structural BIM modeling.
- Mandatory: Proven track record working on U.S.-based wood/timber projects.
Technical Skills (Required)
- Software: Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structural).
- Add-ins: Experience with AGACAD Wood Framing or equivalent timber tools.
- Coordination: Familiarity with Navisworks.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of light wood framing and mass timber systems.
Preferred Skills (The “Extra Mile”)
- Knowledge of Dynamo or parametric modeling workflows.
- Experience in Prefabrication and Modular construction.
- Understanding of LOD (Level of Development) standards and BEP (BIM Execution Plans).
