Key Responsibilities & Role Overview
The successful candidate will handle a diverse range of technical tasks focused on offshore and nearshore infrastructure:
- Design & Analysis: Perform structural analysis for onshore/offshore structures related to submarine pipelines, including pipe supports and launching frames.
- Stability Assessment: Evaluate pipeline on-bottom stability, seabed interactions, and trenching requirements.
- Offshore Operations Support: Prepare method statements and lifting/installation drawings for pipe pulling, HDD works, and stinger setups.
- On-Site Coordination: Provide engineering support during barge alignment and shore pulls, collaborating closely with the marine spread team.
- Documentation: Draft design basis documents, calculation notes, and comprehensive reports for third-party and client review.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to strict QA/QC procedures and international safety standards.
Required Skills & Expertise
To be considered for this senior-level role, candidates should possess:
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of STAAD.Pro and SACS is essential.
- Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of marine civil engineering, HDD entry/exit pads, and jetty structures.
